Planning your vacation, you will certainly think about how to make it equally interesting for all members of the family. We suggest you to travel to Fruili Venezia Gulia, which is located in one of the most picturesque part of Italy.

This beautiful land is one of 20 regions of Italy, which provides tourists with the blue sea, soft outlines of the hills and virgin nature of the mountains.

Starting this year, Azerbaijanis also will have an opportunity to relax in this beautiful place. After a successful event ITW 2016 in Baku, COMITEL&PARTNERS again came to Baku for the presentation of this beautiful Italian corner.

A press conference took place at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, in which representatives of the region, media representatives and various travel agencies of the country took part.

Veronika Pertot, the representative of the region in detail spoke of Fruili Venezia Gulia, saying that the region is bordering with Austria and Slovenia and is located in the center of Europe.

“Situated in Italy's northeast, the territory of the region is surrounded by the peaks of the Alps and washed by the waves of the Adriatic Sea. The territory is not so big and it will take about an hour and a half by car to travel around the region,” she said.

“You will be surprised by quiet streets with a minimum traffic, which will give you an interactive tour,” she said.

The great variety of landscapes matches the rich and variegated cultural heritage that was determined by a complex history and by the confluence of different civilizations in this territory.

The region is the mixture of three cultures. Here one can experience Italian, Slavic and German culture, alternating with a kaleidoscope of tradition, languages, and creeds.

The region differs from Rome, Milan and Venice and is a strategic point being a gate between West and East.

There are many historic areas with castles, ancient ruins, towers and museums. Here you can walk in the steps of the Romans, taste one of the 80 million bottles of world famous wines annually produced there, and watch the world’s largest sailing regatta.

Grado, a lagoon city of the region is smaller than Venice, but not inferior in beauty and history. Sandy beaches, clean and calm waters, and several entertainment activities make Grado an ideal family destination.

In a word, the beauty of Fruili Venezia Gulia cannot be expressed in words, because all the cheerfulness of this hospitable region needs to be felt on oneself.
