National gymnasts shine in sunny Batumi

Georgian resort town Batumi, for the second time hosted the Artistic Gymnastics international competitions on August 26-31.
About 90 athletes from 10 countries took part in the competition.
Athletes competed in: Men’s adults 18 years and + and men’s
juniors 14-17 years, as well as women’s adults 16 years and + and
women’s junior 13-16 years.
Azerbaijani gymnasts Marina Nekrasova, Maria Smirnova and Yuliya
Inshina have represented the country at these competitions this
year.
The national team won the silver medal in a team competition, losing only to the Russian team. The tournament’s hostesses took the third place.
Nekrasova gained four bronzes in the individual program. She became the third in the all-around, on vault, on uneven bars and in floor exercise.
On balance beam, Inshina won bronze. Two Russian gymnasts Seda Tutkhalyan and Anastasia Dmitrieva came in first and second respectively.
