National taekwondo fighters shine in Russia

The seventh International Taekwondo Tournament "Elbrus Cup" among young men and juniors is running in Nalchik, Russia.
On the second day of the competition the Azerbaijani sportsmen gained three medals. Woman taekwondo fighter Roya Suleymanova at 26 kg won the gold medal of the competition.
The silver medal went to another national woman fighter Gulsum Hasanzada at 28 kg. Male fighter Kanan Mammadov at 26 kg took the bronze medal.
On December 4, Azerbaijani man fighter Fizam Mehdiyev at 55 kg, defeating all his rivals, gained the gold medal of the tournament.
More than 600 men and women’s sportsmen from 27 Russian regions as well as representatives from Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Armenia, Jordanien and Korea are taking part in this competition.
The tournament will run till December 5.
