FIDE Presidential Board meeting starts in Baku

The International Chess Federation (FIDE) Presidential Board meeting has started at JW Marriott Absheron Baku Hotel.
It is attended by FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov and heads of national federations.
Addressing the event, president of Azerbaijani Chess Federation Elman Rustamov highlighted development of chess in the country. He stressed the invaluable contribution of national leader Heydar Aliyev to developing chess in Azerbaijan.
Kirsan Ilyumzhinov praised the State Programme for the development of chess in Azerbaijan for 2009-2014.
The event will feature discussions on the results of FIDE Candidates' Tournament in London, including World Cup 2015 and World Chess Olympiad 2016, which will be held in Azerbaijan.
