Azeri flag raised at Paralympic village
The Azerbaijan flag raising ceremony was held on Sunday at the
London's Paralympic village in Stratford, three days before of the
opening of the 15th Paralympic Games in London.
The flag raising ceremony began with a musical theatre performance
to entertain the athletes.
Mayor of the Paralympic Village, Tony Sainsbury welcomed the
delegation (athletes, officials and staffs), encouraging athletes
to honor their country and achieve the best possible results.
From the Azerbaijani side, the mayor presented the Paralympics logo
to Shaig Hamidov, head of the Azerbaijani delegation.
Secretary General of the National Paralympic Committee cand Aydin
Mammadov, an employee of the Ministry of Youth and Sport were also
present at the event.
