Turkish football expert to arrive in Azerbaijan [PHOTOS]
Famous Turkish football expert Fatih Terim has arrived in Azerbaijan at the invitation of Qarabag FC, Azernews reports.
The honorary guest will participate in an event organized by Qarabag FC regarding the establishment of the Football Clubs Alliance for Climate Initiative during the 29th session of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) taking place in Baku.
This initiative has received support from COP29 Presidency and the United Nations Department of Sport and Climate Change (UNFCCC).
Renown and experienced football clubs of the world, in particular, Europe, in the field of climate change and sustainability accepted the invitation of Qarabag FC and confirmed their participation in this important meeting.
The event features extensive discussions on the impact of sports in the fight against climate change, and partner clubs in the alliance will share their experiences.
It is worth noting that Fatih Terim has achieved significant success as a coach with the Turkish national team and the "Galatasaray" club.
During his football career, he played for Ceyhanspor, Adana Demirspor and Galatasaray. In his eleven years of playing time for Galatasaray, he won the Prime Minister's Cup in 1975 and in 1979, the Turkish Cup in 1975–76, 1981–82 and 1984–85 seasons and the Turkish Super Cup in 1982 with the club.
