The national team secured this opportunity by finishing fourth in Group B of the 1st League with 4 points. They continue their pursuit of advancing to the final stage.
The team earned this opportunity as the best fourth-place finisher among the B League groups.
On July 19, the drawing ceremony for the first playoff stage will take place. Azerbaijan will face one of the top-ranked teams among the other 11 participants in the B League: Portugal, Scotland, Wales, Serbia, Ukraine, and Northern Ireland.
It is worth noting that the matches of the first playoff stage are scheduled for October 23 and 29. The winners of these matches will advance to the second playoff round.
