Korea to host 25th World Scout Jamboree [PHOTO]

Korea has been chosen as the host country of the 25th World Scout Jamboree in 2023.
The decision has been made through voting by the participants of the 41st World Scout Conference in Baku Congress Center. The announcement of result for the bidding to host the 25th World Scout Jamboree was made on August 16.
There was a moment of joy by the Korean Scouts as they have been announced to be the host of the World Scout Jamboree in 2023. This will be the next jamboree, after the 24th World Scout Jamboree in 2019 which will be held at the North America, with collaboration of Scouts of Canada, USA, and Mexico, Azertac reported.
After the announcement, Korea will prepare many things to make the jamboree a great success. They have six more years to prepare everything before the jamboree begins. The preparation will be the campsite and many infrastructures that will be needed for the jamboree.
Baku hosts delegations of 167 National Scout Organizations visiting the country for the World Scouting’s ‘general assembly’, the World Scout Conference.
The event draws the largest delegations yet – 167 National Scout Organizations (NSOs) across the Scout Movement’s Africa, Arab, Asia-Pacific, Eurasia, European and Interamerican Scout Regions.
The Conference also witnesses a record number of young delegates, who attended the 13th World Scout Youth Forum in Gabala.
Scouting is one of the world’s leading educational youth movements, engaging millions of young people around the world to be active citizens to create positive changes in the communities they live in.
Founded by Lord Baden-Powell in 1907, WOSM is a confederation of 167 National Scout Organizations in a network of over 40 million Scouts in at least 224 countries and territories worldwide.
