National judokas to join European Judo Championships

The 28th European Judo Championships starts today in Warsaw, Poland. The tournament will bring together 369 judo fighters from 41 countries.
The Azerbaijani team will be represented by 8 male and 2 female judokas.
Orkhan Safarov (60 kg) will meet with Matias Trbovich (Slovenia) and Moritz Plafky (Germany) in 1/8 finals, Report.az reported.
In 1/16 finals, Nijat Shikhalizade will meet with Manuel Kabelem (Germany).
Aisha Gurbanli (48 kg) will compete with Galcadar Shenturk (Turkey), while Nazaket Azizov (52 kg) will fight against Reka Papp.
Rustam Orujev, Hidayat Heydarov (73 kg) and Rufat Ismayilov (81 kg) will compete on April 21.
Mammadali Mehdiyev (90 kg), Elmar Qasimov, Elkhan Mamedov (100 kg) and Ushangi, Kakouri (+100 kg) will compete on April 22.
