Chinese gymnast wins gold at FIG World Cup in Baku

Chinese gymnast Hao Weng won gold in pommel horse exercises of the FIG Artistic Gymnastics Individual Apparatus World Cup in Baku March 19.

Weng scored 15.400 points in the final.

Hungarian athlete Krisztián Berki with 15.266 points won silver.

Croatian gymnast Filip Ude with 15.200 points won bronze.

The last day of the FIG Artistic Gymnastics Individual Apparatus World Cup kicked off at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku March 19.

The men are competing in vault, pommel horse and horizontal bar finals, while the women - in balance beam and floor finals.

Azerbaijan is represented by Marina Nekrasova in balance beam and floor exercises.

A total of ten sets of medals will be awarded at the competitions.

The FIG Artistic Gymnastics Individual Apparatus World Cup finals will end Mar. 19. Gymnasts from 23 countries take part in the FIG World Cup in artistic gymnastics, which is hosted by Azerbaijan for the second time.
