National taekwondo fighters to compete in Serbia

Junior Azerbaijani taekwondo fighters have left for Serbia to compete in the “Serbia Open” international G1 tournament, Azertac reported.
Azerbaijan`s hopes will be pinned on twelve fighters. The tournament will be held in Belgrade on October 29-30.
It`s open to all clubs and national teams which can also be found on the WTF calendar.
For the past 14 years, the tournament hosted teams clubs from numerous countries, such as: Greece, Iran, Spain, USA, Italy, Sweden, Germany, Canada, Czech Republic, Turkey, Moldavia, Russia, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, FYROM, Albania, Cyprus, Ukraine, Georgia, Slovakia, Montenegro, Great Britan, Mexico, Brazil and many others.
Taekwondo is one of the most popular sports in Azerbaijan. The National Taekwondo Federation has trained many prominent athletes since its founding in 1992. Many of those athletes now enjoy international recognition.
The Federation’s training facility houses new, state-of-the-art training equipment and has a proud history of bringing up more than 500 black belt recipients and athletes.
