The 2nd Azerbaijan and Baku Championship in aerobic gymnastics kicked off at the Heydar Aliyev Sports and Concert Complex in Baku Oct. 1, Trend’s correspondent reported.
Representatives of the Ojag sports club are competing for medals in the aerobic gymnastics which started to develop in Azerbaijan in 2013.
A total of 35 gymnasts are taking part in the competitions.
The athletes are to perform in individual men’s (juniors – 15-17 years, seniors – 18 years and older), individual women’s (children – 7-8 years, youngsters – 9-11 years, pre-juniors – 12-14 years, juniors – 15-17 years) and women’s trio (children – 7-8 years, youngsters – 9-11 years, pre-juniors – 12-14 years) programs.
