Georgia can offer asylum for foreigners
Georgia will provideforeign citizens, who are on its territory due to the conflicts in their countries, with temporary asylum, Georgia-Online reported.
"This status will be granted for this category of foreign citizens in Georgia for one year,” Georgian Minister for Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Accommodation and Refugees Sozar Subari told reporters on February 15.
He added that as soon as the situation is stabilized in their countries, they will be required to return home.
"All personal files of foreign citizens will be considered,” the minister said. “The reason is that there may be some individuals who have arrived in Georgia for some other purpose. These individuals will have to return home within one month.”
