P5+1 puts forward resolved issues again in nuke talks
The P5+1 put forwarded issues which had been resolved once again
in nuclear talks, a senior Iranian official said on the condition
of anonymity.
“The West has changed its attitude in the nuclear talks. This issue
has decelerated the pace of progress,” the source added, Iran’s
Fars news agency reported July 10.
“They started to change their attitude once the Lausanne agreement
was declared. Since then, we have seeing changes in a lot of
issues, from sanctions to the period of agreement to nuclear
issues.”
“We need reliable guarantees from the West. Our feeling is that
they are trying to maintain sanctions instead of lifting them,” the
Iranian official said, adding some people in the US have got used
to the sanctions and do not know how they can get rid of them.
The official further said that the US should take decisions
seriously,
“Iran has always been committed to its obligations. But, we have
not seen mutual commitment by the US”.
The Islamic Republic’s principal attitude has not changed, the
official emphasized. He underlined that a comprehensive agreement
is within reach, provided that delusions are abandoned.
“Any agreement should be balanced, based on justice and fairness.
The other side should show courage,” the source said.
Iran and the P5+1 countries - the United States, Britain, France,
Russia, China and Germany - have been engaged in talks in Vienna
towards reaching a landmark agreement over Tehran’s nuclear
program.
The deal’s deadline has been extended twice, and both U.S. and Iranian officials have said differences remain ahead of a third deadline on July 10.
