Daewoo to construct steelmaking plant in Turkmenistan
South Korea's Daewoo International company will build a
steelmaking plant in Turkmenistan worth around $1 billion, Interfax
agency reported referring to the company’s statement.
Daewoo International and the Industry Ministry of Turkmenistan
signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of metallurgy.
The agreement was signed during Turkmen President Gurbanguly
Berdimuhamedov’s four-day visit to South Korea April 11-14, Daewoo
corporation said.
South Korean corporation POSCO Engineering & Construction must also
join the plant construction to conduct most of the work by
contract.
