Georgia, NASA launch joint project on Sun studies

The NASA Scientific Committee and the Georgian National Astrophysical Observatory of Chavchavadze State University are launching a joint project.
The project entitled Varsit stipulates the study of solar processes and predicting the results of their interaction with the earth, the First Channel of the Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB) reported.
Scientific research centres of 50 countries will participate in the project which will be implemented in five years.
The sun will be observed by satellites and allow scientists to make certain predictions. The project will be managed by NASA representatives.
