The Chinese government will issue a grant worth $4.9 million to Georgia.
This was announced at a meeting of Georgian Finance Minister Nodar Khaduri and Chinese ambassador Yue Bin.
The Chinese government will deliver a grant to Georgia as part of the agreement on economic and technical cooperation between the governments signed on December 16.
"The priority economic and technical projects will be financed through this grant," Khaduri said. "During the last period, the Chinese government provided Georgia with financial assistance worth 220 million yuan, land reclamation and irrigation equipment. I am sure that the cooperation will continue between the two countries".
The Chinese ambassador expressed confidence that his country will contribute to the economic development of Georgia.
