Georgia expects great economic advance
Georgian Parliamentary Speaker David Usupashvili said that a significant economic growth is expected to be observed in Georgia by late 2013.
Usupashvili made this statement on August 7 after a meeting of the parliamentary majority with Minister of Economy and Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure.
"The economy has begun declining since March last year and this decline continued each subsequent month," he said. "However, there will be great advance by late 2013."
According to him, the problems of businessmen launching their activity were one of the issues discussed at the meeting.
"We talked about the fact that the issue of delivering cheap loans for beginners in business remains an unresolved problem and that according to the minister, appropriate mechanisms will be created to regulate this issue by next year," the speaker added.
The Georgian government forecasts the country's economy to increase by 6 percent by late 2013, while international financial institutions reduced the forecast from 5 percent to 3 percent.
