Georgian Railway company launches new train to Black Sea resorts

Georgian Railway company has commissioned a new train consisting of four coaches in the Tbilisi-Makhinjauri-Tbilisi route to solve shortages arising as a result of increase of passenger traffic in the direction of the Georgian Black sea resorts.

Thus, Georgian Railway offers the passengers additional 300 seats.

The train will depart from Tbilisi at 07:30, and will arrive in Makhinjauri at 12:52. The train will return back at 17:40 and arrive in Tbilisi at 22:55.

Makhinjauri is a small town in Adjara, Georgia. There is a railway station (on the line Natanebi - Batumi) of same name in Makhinjauri, which is the main passenger station of Batumi.

The distance between Makhinjauri and Batumi, which is a seaside resort on the Black Sea coast, is 7.6 kilometers and takes about 9 minutes.
