Kazakhstan to stage huge military parade

Kazakhstan is actively preparing for its first military parade that will take place on May 7 - Day of Motherland Defenders.

The Kazakh Defense Ministry reported that the ministry's operative group for the preparation for the military parade left Astana for the 40th military base Otar. The group is tasked to coordinate all the issues on the preparation for the military parade.

The operative group led by deputy chief of the General Staff of Kazakh Armed Forces Mukan Dyusekeyev includes representatives of various departments of the Defense Ministry and the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan.

This military parade is to be an obvious demonstration of professional skills of officers and soldiers, and the capabilities of modern weapons and equipment of the Kazakh Army.

At present, military equipment and personnel of military units are being concentrated in the area of the military base. 7,000 servicemen, more than 400 units of armored vehicles and automotive equipment, more than 86 aircraft and helicopters will take part at the parade, the ministry reported.

Army units will demonstrate their military skills in tactics and practical application of modern weapons and equipment, which are in the arsenal of the ground and air defense forces.

At the same time, Kazakhstan Navy will conduct combat firing in the Caspian Sea.

Combat shootings from all kinds of weapons of ground forces will be held on the training ground. Air force aircraft and helicopters will carry out real missile fire and bombing, conduct a simulated combat, and professional pilots will demonstrate aerobatic maneuvering.
