The National Security Committee of Kazakhstan made public the list of people who died as a result of crash of a military aircraft of the country's Border Service near Shymkent, Trend news agency reported.

On Dec. 25 at 6:55 pm, an aircraft of the National Security Committee's Border Service flying from Astana crashed 20 kilometers from Shymkent Airport when approaching to the airfield. All 27 people who were on board, including seven crew members died.

The Border Service leadership was flying to Shymkent to hold military council in the "Ontustik" Regional Department to sum up last year.

At present, interdepartmental commission on investigation of aviation incidents is working on the scene. The National Security Committee chairman Nurtay Abykayev went to Shymkent.

Military transport aircraft AN-72 was manufactured in December 1990. In 2012, it passed resource recovery at the aircraft repair plant "Antonov" in Ukraine. The aircraft crew consisted of experienced military pilots and specialists.
