Kazakh leader sets goal to join top 30 most developed countries

Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has delivered speech at a ceremony in honor of the 21st anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence, Trend news agency reported.
The president has set a goal to join 30 most developed countries in the world by 2050.
"There are all opportunities for this: resources, educated people, united nation," the president said.
Nazarbayev added that the Kazakhstan's Development Strategy until 2030, adopted 15 years ago, has determined the course of Kazakhstan's development.
"We must determine our own way," he said. "This way has been outlined in the strategy "Kazakhstan-2030". This document has determined the strategic goals and objectives and became the most important ideological breakthrough."
According to Nazarbayev, Kazakhstan will be among 50 largest countries in the world in terms of GDP in 2012.
