EU's Costa says Russia is threat for entire Europe
European Council President Antonio Costa said on Tuesday that Russia poses a threat for the entire Europe, not only for Ukraine, Azernews reports.
"Russia is a threat, not only in Ukraine, but for European security as a whole, especially on the Eastern border, in Poland, the Baltic states, Romania, the eastern flank of the European Union," Costa stated at a joint press conference with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Warsaw.
The official further noted that the European Commission is preparing "a package of proposals to strengthen defense capabilities of Europe," particularly of the EU's eastern flank, adding that it will be discussed at a special meeting of the European Council scheduled for March 6.
