Hyundai's trade union join strike over South Korean president's resignation

The trade union of South Korean automobile manufacturer Hyundai Motor will join the strike organized by the National Federation of Democratic Trade Unions of South Korea, demanding the resignation of President Yun Seok-yeol, Azernews reports.
"The Hyundai trade union, which represents 43,000 workers, will hold a four-hour strike on Thursday and Friday," a union representative said.
On Wednesday, YTN reported that the National Federation of Democratic Trade Unions had announced an indefinite general strike, which will continue until President Yun Seok-yeol steps down.
This strike, which is gaining momentum across various sectors, reflects growing discontent with the president's policies, particularly his handling of economic issues and labor rights. As tensions rise, the labor movement in South Korea is increasingly aligning with opposition groups calling for political change.
