Strongest snowstorm in last half century hits Seoul

The capital of South Korea, Seoul, has been hit by the strongest snowstorm in the last half-century. The severe weather conditions have caused widespread disruptions, including limited public transport and the cancellation or delay of 220 flights, Azernews reports.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA), snow accumulation in the northern parts of the city has reached 20 centimeters, marking the heaviest snowfall Seoul has experienced in 52 years.
Authorities have issued warnings to residents about the dangers posed by icy roads and the heightened risk of accidents. Pedestrians are also urged to exercise caution due to the hazardous conditions. The ongoing snowstorm is expected to continue impacting daily life and travel across the capital for the foreseeable future.
