Tbilisi City Hall allocated 8.6 million lari for New Year's events

The capital of Georgia is making serious preparations to celebrate the New Year. Tbilisi City Hall has allocated GEL 8,576,967 for this year’s New Year events, which is about 2 million lari more than in 2023, Azernews reports.
The allocated funds will be used for decorations, lighting, stage design, an ice skating rink, entertainment shows, street and bridge decorations, fees for performers, and other services related to the Christmas Village, which will open on New Year's Eve.
New Year’s events will kick off on December 6 with the lighting of the New Year tree in front of the Parliament building on Rustaveli Avenue.
It’s worth noting that last year, Tbilisi City Hall spent GEL 6,501,641 on organizing the New Year concert and Christmas village.
