Turkish gravediggers made an extraordinary discovery during their work when they unearthed a warehouse containing over a thousand ancient silver coins, Azernews reports.

While digging a grave, the workers came across a cracked ceramic jug filled with coins. Upon realizing the significance of the find, they immediately alerted local authorities. The area was cordoned off by the police, and the treasure was examined by archaeologists.

Approximately 1,100 silver coins were recovered from the jug and transferred to a local museum for further study. Scientists are currently determining the age of the coins and their historical value, which could provide important insights into the region's ancient economy and trade routes.
