Kazakhstan supplies 'shrinking' Caspian Sea with more water via Zhaiyk River

Kazakhstan has dispatched an unprecedented 16.7 cubic kilometres of water to the Caspian Sea via the Zhaiyk River in the year to date, compared to the long-term annual average of 9.46 cubic kilometres, according to the country's Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation
