Fire breaks out on Japan's Self-Defence Forces ship
At least one crew member was hospitalized after a fire broke out on a Japanese Self-Defence Forces ship, according to local media on Sunday, Azernews reports, citing Anadolu Agency.
One crew member was hospitalized due to smoke inhalation, state broadcaster NHK reported.
According to the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, the fire broke out on a minesweeper “Ukushima,” a small warship having 40 crew members onboard, sailing off the coast of Fukuoka Prefecture on Sunday morning.
Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force and the Japan Coast Guard are working to put out the fire.
