Iran FM: Conflicts may expand beyond Middle East
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned on Saturday that the crisis in the Middle East could escalate further and spread to other parts of the world, Azernews reports.
"The world should know that in case of the expansion of war, its harmful effects will not be limited only to the West Asia region; insecurity and instability can spread to other regions, even far away," the official said in a televised speech.
Iran and Israel have been engaging in occasional missile exchanges that emerged from the latter country's armed conflicts with Hamas and Hezbollah.
