Levotobi volcano erupts eight times, causing deaths and widespread damage in Indonesia
The "Levotobi" volcano, located on the island of Flores in Indonesia, erupted eight times in just a few hours.
Azernews reports, citing foreign media, state that the eruption caused smoke from the crater to rise to a height of approximately 8,000 meters.
According to reports, nine people have died, and about 6,000 people living near Levotobi have been evacuated.
It was noted that more than 2,000 houses were damaged, and roads and bridges in the region were destroyed. Flights at local airports have been canceled.
