Fire breaks out on train at Ahrensfelde Station in Berlin
Last night, a significant fire erupted in one of the trains at the Ahrensfelde railway station in Berlin, Azernews reports citing the Berlin Fire Department.
The blaze resulted in the destruction of three train carriages. Fortunately, no passengers were aboard at the time of the incident. Emergency medical assistance was provided to the conductor and driver at the scene, and it has been confirmed that they sustained no serious injuries.
Firefighters quickly contained and extinguished the flames.
The police are currently investigating the cause of the fire, which occurred on a train operated by one of the private railway companies. Following the incident, train traffic at the station was briefly suspended but has since been fully restored.
