Roblox to open office in Turkiye with pledge to respect Turkish law
Online gaming platform Roblox, which was blocked on the grounds that it included ' terrorist propaganda ', 'child abuse' and 'sexually explicit' posts, has taken a step back.
The company decided to open an office in Turkiye to alleviate concerns.
"We believe Roblox can play a positive role in Turkish society by providing a platform for learning, creativity, and meaningful connections. We are committed to collaborating with authorities to address the country's specific needs, " Roblox said in a statement.
"We respect Turkish laws"
The following statements were used in the statement:
“In the event that access to the platform is restored, we plan to
open an office in Turkiye and hire a dedicated team, including
additional moderators to provide local language support. Roblox
respects local laws and regulations in Turkey. We are actively
cooperating with local authorities and legal processes to restore
access to the platform while prioritizing the safety of players and
developers.”
