By Alimat Aliyeva
Uzbekistan and Turkiye discussed promising areas for the development of trade and economic relations, taking into account the agreements reached following the summit visit in June this year, Azernews reports.
This was discussed at a meeting between the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Nozimjon Kholmurodov and Chairman of the Board of the Eco Eurasia Foundation Hikmet Ehren.
The ministry said that Eren highly appreciated the large-scale reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan and stressed that the created conditions contribute to business development. He also expressed readiness to actively support both the agreements already concluded and new initiatives aimed at expanding cooperation.
In addition, concrete steps were outlined to increase the volume of trade and investment cooperation.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to hold an Uzbek-Turkish business summit in Ankara in the first half of 2025.
