Turkey, France to mull regional issues
By Trend
Turkey and France will discuss regional issues during the visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to France, the Turkish media reported citing a diplomatic source on Nov. 2.
Reportedly, Erdogan will visit France on November 10-11, 2018.
Among the issues to be discussed during the visit is Turkey’s accession to the EU.
Earlier, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said that Ankara intends to develop relations with the EU.
An association agreement between the EU and Turkey was signed in 1963. Ankara filed an application for membership in the EU in 1987, but accession negotiations were launched in 2005.
