New business city in Tashkent begins searching for investors

Olmazor Business City in the Olmazor district of Tashkent has begun searching for investors, the directorate of the business city told Trend on Oct. 22.
The representative of the directorate said that a special competition has been announced, according to which both local and foreign entrepreneurs may get acquainted with the project of the business city to make an investment decision.
According to the information, the construction of the business city is planned to be completed by 2021.
The directorate rep reminded that work on the creation of the Olmazor Business City in began in accordance with the Aug. 2, 2018 decree of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev “On measures to create modern business centers in the country”.
A concept plan has already been developed, and the design work of Olmazor Business City is underway.
“The main focus is on ensuring that the complex is close and understandable for the population. For example, in addition to multi-storey buildings and business centers, a large apple orchard will be laid on an area of 23 hectares and the area along the water basins located here will be landscaped,” the representative of the Olmazor Business City noted.
Residential buildings will be located in the form of a ladder in order not to close the view of the Qichqiriq canal running through the Olmazor Business City.
The presentation of the project on the construction of the Olmazor Business City, the new center of the Olmazor district of Tashkent, took place at late June 2018.
Administrative buildings, multi-family housing, business centers, hotels and avenues, educational and medical institutions are planned to be built on the area located between Yangi Olmazor Street and the Little Ring Road.
The project will contribute to the development of industry and the creation of new jobs. An inventory of unused buildings in the area will be conducted, with further attraction of foreign investments and technology.
Olmazor district is located in the northwestern part of Tashkent. It is one of the four historical districts of the city, formed in the XVIII century. The area of the region is 3,450 hectares, the population is over 306,000 people.
