Belarus, Uzbekistan eye to ink MoU in nuclear energy

Belarus and Uzbekistan plan to sign a memorandum of understanding in the field of nuclear energy, Deputy Director of the Nuclear Energy Department at the Belarusian Energy Ministry Lilia Dulinets told reporters at the 23rd Belarusian Energy and Ecology Forum, BelTA reported.
“The forum is attended by representatives of Kazakhstan - a country that is on the verge of making a decision to build the first nuclear power plant, as well as Uzbekistan, which has recently made such a decision,” she said. “We have already signed a memorandum of understanding with Kazakhstan in the field of nuclear energy. A similar document with Uzbekistan is almost ready for signing, and it is planned that this will happen this year.”
