Interpol ready for cooperation with Iran in fighting terrorism

Secretary General of Interpol Jurgen Stock in a message condemned recent terrorist attack in Ahvaz and voiced the organization’s readiness for cooperation with the Iranian government in fighting terrorism, IRNA reports.
He also condoled with Iran’s Police Commander Brigadier General
Hossein Ashtari over deadly attack on military parade in the
southwestern city.
The message read that Interpol condemns such acts and is prepared
to cooperate with Iran’s Police and government in fighting
terrorism.
Stock underlined that the organization considers itself committed
to render help in the field so that perpetrators of the heinous act
will be punished soon.
Some 25 people, including women and children, were killed and 60
others injured during September 22 terror attack in Ahvaz which
took place during a military parade held as part of the programs to
mark the 38th anniversary of an eight-year imposed war against
Iran.
The self-proclaimed Saudi-affiliated Al-Ahwaz terrorist group
claimed responsibility for the attack.
