FM: CIA officially apologizes to Turkey
By Trend
The US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) officially expressed apologies to Turkey in a letter, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said, the country’s media reported on February 7.
Cavusoglu said that earlier, former US Secretary of State John Kerry said that the CIA has precise information that Turkey buys oil from the “Islamic State” (IS) terrorists. The Turkish foreign minister added that he rejected those charges and demanded evidence.
“However, despite all the demands of Ankara to present evidence that Turkey allegedly buys oil from the IS terrorists, the CIA couldn’t do this, and the Turkish Foreign Ministry demanded official apology letter from the CIA,” Cavusoglu said.
