GDP growth in Turkmenistan in 2017 revealed

The GDP growth in Turkmenistan amounted to 6.5 percent in 2017.
This was stated at the enlarged meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, Turkmenistan’s state agency reported.
This figure in the industrial sector amounted to 5.5 percent, construction - 1.3 percent, transport and communications complex - 11.1 percent, trade - 9.4 percent, agriculture - 5 percent, and services - 9 percent.
In comparison with the same indicator of the previous year, overall production increased by 6.4 percent.
As a result of 2017, the volume of retail trade turnover increased by 19 percent compared to 2016. Prices for consumer goods, as well as tariffs for rendering services to the population, are kept within established limits.
The average monthly wages for large and medium-sized enterprises in the country over the past year are higher by 8.8 percent than in 2016.
Within the framework of the corresponding programs, in all regions of the country construction of industrial and social facilities is being carried out.
During the period under review, due to all sources of financing, capital investments in the amount of 49.8 billion manat were mastered.
The draft resolution on the issues of the State Commission for the Support of Small and Medium-sized Entrepreneurship in Turkmenistan was discussed as well.
