WB delegation due in Uzbekistan

A delegation of the World Bank (WB) will visit Tashkent on Jan. 18, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry told Trend on January 16.
Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will receive the delegation.
The delegation will be headed by Kristalina Georgieva, Chief Executive Officer of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development and International Development Association, as part of the World Bank Group.
The program of the visit envisages negotiations in the government and Senate of the Oliy Majlis (Uzbek parliament), during which the prospects for enhancing cooperation between Uzbekistan and the World Bank will be discussed.
