Uzbekistan to create National Anti-Doping Agency

National Anti-Doping Agency will be established in Uzbekistan in accordance with the presidential decree.
The agency is entrusted with the task of introducing and implementing a specialized Anti-Doping Administration and Management System (ADAMS) of the World Anti-Doping Agency in the country.
"Through this system, it will be possible to effectively organize the activities of the Agency and the anti-doping system, as well as to use the information of the world database, to generate accurate information about the passage of doping testing by athletes in competitive and out-of-competition periods," the presidential press service said.
Particularly, it will be possible to create a high-quality anti-doping system and mechanisms to provide accurate recommendations to athletes of Uzbekistan regarding the non-use of prohibited drugs and the use of drugs for therapeutic use.
The document also stipulates the creation of a "Department of Sports Psychology" on the basis of the "National Anti-Doping Service" of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Sports Medicine under the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan.
Special attention is paid to the need to implement measures to strengthen and develop relations with international organizations, to implement programs and projects of the World Anti-Doping Agency, to inform the sports community about the damage to athletes and the negative consequences of doping for human health.
