The government of Kyrgyzstan creates conditions for unimpeded export to the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU).

Kyrgyz Prime Minister Sooronbay Zheenbekov defined resolution of the issue of unification of technical regulations as one of the main directions.

Without addressing these issues, exporters from Kyrgyzstan will constantly face difficulties in the markets of the EEU countries. To remove them, the head of government approved the corresponding action plans.

The technical regulation is a document that establishes the characteristics of products (services) or related processes and methods of production. It may also include requirements for terminology, symbols, packaging and labeling, or be entirely devoted to these issues. Compliance with the technical regulation rules is mandatory for all producers, who want to export their goods to the territory of other EEU countries.

The work of the government has already yielded results, according to prime minister

From August 12, the next 18 technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union will come into force. They have a direct effect in the territories of all countries of the EEU and operate without exceptions.

This was stated by Deputy Economy Minister of Kyrgyzstan Eldar Abakirov on July 4 at a press conference in the Government House.

He noted that at the same time a unified system for products’ entry to the market will be established, uniform documents of product conformity and a single product circulation mark will be applied in the EEU market.

"Thus, technical and administrative barriers for exporters are eliminated, that is, the main goal is to ensure unimpeded flow of goods to the territory of the EEA member countries," Abakirov stressed.

“Eight out of 18 technical documents regulate the safety of food products, one is cross-cutting. At the same time, an important condition for implementing technical regulations for food products is the introduction of HACCP management system at the enterprises, which is a system for assessing and controlling the hazards of food raw materials, technological products and finished products. This is a guarantee of safety of produced foods," Abakirov said.

The entry into force of these technical regulations will create a single legal field for ensuring product safety and ensure protection of the customs territory from unsafe and falsified products from third countries, according to Abakirov.
