Lifan Motors starts sales in Turkmenistan
By Trend
Chinese Lifan Motors company has started official sales of cars in Turkmenistan in order to strengthen its presence in oversea markets, said a message of the company.
Such cars as Lifan X50, Lifan X60, as well Sedan Lifan Solano are the cars the company plans to market.
The potential of the local market is significant, considering that the population of Turkmenistan is more than 5 million. Earlier, demand was met through second hand cars, but recently the sale of new cars began to increase.
The market volume rose by 18 percent in 2015.
South Korean and Japanese car manufacturers are top sellers in Turkmenistan. Hyundai, which covers about 25 percent of the local market, ranks first, followed by Nissan and Toyota.
In this case, the niche of inexpensive and reliable cars, like Lifan, was empty until recently.
It should be noted that cars of the Chinese brand are well-suited for difficult road and climate conditions of Turkmenistan, said the company’s message.
