Tajikistan reveals production volume of petroleum products

Tajikistan increased the production of petroleum products by 30 percent as compared to the rates fixed in 2016. Some 70,000 tons of the products were produced in the first seven months of 2016, CA-News reported. The increase is connected with the growth of petrol, diesel fuel, masout and bitumen production in the country.
Some 2,200 tons of diesel fuel were produced in the country in the reported period, which is 1.6 times higher than the volume set in 2015. Petroleum production has grown by 14 percent and reached the level of 396 tons, while the production of masout and bitumen increased by 30 and 44 percent, respectively.
The total worth of the production in the reported period amounts to 7.5 billion somoni ($ 0.9 million), which is 13.5 percent higher than in January-July period of 2015.
The volume of foreign trade turnover in the country has decreased by 8.1 percent and amounted to approximately $2 billion as compared to the index fixed in 2015. Trade balance in the reported period was negative and totaled about $1 billion. Export of goods has increased by 7.2 percent and amounted to $507.2 million, while the worth of imported goods decreased by 8.4 percent and totaled $1.7 billion.
Main trade partners of the country in the reported period were Russia, China, Kazakhstan and Turkey.
