Ukraine keen to deliver Iran's hydrocarbons to Eastern Europe
Ukraine is interested in transiting Iran’s oil and gas to
Eastern Europe, Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh minister
said.
Zanganeh, however, said that Iran would like to provide Ukraine
with its oil requirements, ISNA news agency reported.
Zanganeh made the remarks after a meeting with Ukrainian Energy and
Coal Industry Minister Igor Nasalyk on August 1 in Tehran.
“The capacity of refineries in Ukraine is low and the country is an
importer of oil products,” he added.
Saying that Ukraine is interested in delivering Iran’s oil and gas
to Eastern Europe, he added that Ukraine enjoys a proper
transmission network.
The oil minister, however, noted that Iran needs to study if it is
economically justified to exports a part of Islamic Republic’s gas
