Turkey's Botas increases gas import by over 3.5 bcm
Turkish state pipeline company Botas imported 35 billion cubic meters of gas from various sources In January-October compared to 31.26 billion cubic meters in January-October 2011, the Botas website reported on Monday.
Turkey also imports gas from Azerbaijan, which is supplied via the South Caucasus gas pipeline (part of the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum pipeline).
In 2011, Botas imported more than 39.7 billion cubic meters of gas from various sources compared to about 32.5 billion cubic meters in 2010.
Over 33.09 billion cubic meters of gas were sold in January-October in the Turkish domestic market compared to 30.6 billion cubic meters during the same period of 2011.
About 39.4 billion cubic meters of gas were sold in the Turkish market in 2011 compared to 31.5 billion cubic meters in 2010.
