TotalEnergies begins FEED phase for second stage of Absheron field development

TotalEnergies has initiated the Front End Engineering Design (FEED) phase for the second stage of the Absheron field development, aiming to finalize the full-scale development (FFD) and prepare for a final investment decision (FID) within 2025. The Absheron field, located 100 kilometers southeast of Baku and 25 kilometers northeast of the Shah Deniz field, is operated by the Joint Operating Company of Absheron Petroleum (JOCAP). Under existing agreements, SOCAR purchases the produced gas, while condensate is transported via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline.
