GE Oil & Gas UK Ltd opens rep office in Baku

A representative office of the oil service company GE Oil & Gas UK Limited was registered in Azerbaijan.
The company was registered in the Taxes Ministry of Azerbaijan on May 24, 2017 and the legal representative of the new company is Samira Bakhshiyeva, according to the Vergiler newspaper of the Ministry.
GE Oil & Gas UK Limited designs, manufactures, and supplies solutions for drilling and production to the oil and gas industry. The Company offers marine couplings, spider and gimbal assemblies, keel joints, tensioning rings, subsea connectors, gate valves, chokes and actuators, gate valve hydraulic actuators, and subsea drilling systems.
GE Oil & Gas was a subsidiary of the American multinational conglomerate corporation General Electric that is now part of Baker Hughes, a GE company.
The company employs approximately 37,000, serving customers in over 140 countries.
Azerbaijan is one of the Caspian region's most important strategic oil and gas export routes to the West.
Azerbaijan’s proven oil reserves stood at 7 billion barrels, or 0.4 percent of the world’s total proven oil reserves. The country’s proven natural gas reserves are estimated at approximately 35 trillion cubic feet.
