Those affected by Araz arms factory blast receive compensation
Azerbaijan’s Minister of Defense Industry Yavar Jamalov has visited those, who injured as a result of explosion at Araz arms factory in Shirvan city.
The injured are receiving medical treatment at Shirvan city central hospital and Diagnostic Center, the ministry told Trend on July 27.
Jamalov also took part in the funeral of two plant employees, who died as a result of the explosion.
Under the minister’s instructions, the injured and their relatives received compensations. Moreover, the families of those who died as a result of the explosion received compensation for the funeral costs.
An explosion occurred at Araz arms plant on July 26. The
explosion was caused by a spark among the military products ordered
for recycling.
Agamir Mammadov and Ilhama Nuriyeva died as a result of the
explosion, the ministry of defense industry said earlier.
The Prosecutor General’s Office filed a criminal case under articles 223.2 and 314.2 concerning the explosion at the Araz arms plant in the country’s Shirvan city.
President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order setting up a State Commission after the explosion occurred at “Araz” plant. Headed by deputy Prime Minister Yagub Eyyubov, the commission will investigate the causes of the accident and eliminate its consequences.
